 agm 16th november
« Thread Started on Sept 15, 2007, 11:18am »

hi guys

we have decided to have the agm before the meeting on the 16th of november.

what we will do is build the track then have the meeting then have a meeting of 2 rounds of qualifying and 1 final,
it will still count for the championship.

we want you all to have a think about what you would like to be different ie rules motors tyres etc

there is also a few possitions on the commitee that will be voted for again

chairman will stay

secuartary will up for grabs

on road rep

offroad rep

webmaster kev will stay

we also would like a race director to work with me to run the meetings so if i need a night off for what ever reason that person will also become a key holder for the hall.

for all the positions you will need to let the commitee know if you would like to put your self forward for any of the above. you can pm me or lee or ray or give any of us a call

you will also need to let us know if there is anything you want discused so we can look in to it thanks

Andy ;D

p.s this thread will be updated from time to time

hello buddy,
if you don't find anybody else to fill the job of on-road rep then i put myself back up for that role.
with doing the 1/12th i hope i will get more time to help the touring car boys(thats if they need or want any help?)
and with only you(Andy) to beat in 1/12ths should have the championship rapped up pretty quick.he he he he he he he he ;) ;D

proposal for AGM
my proposal is to change the way we do the finals,
the first final grid will be made up from the qualifying as normal, but the second final grid would be made up from your finishing position from the first final

lee/keith

guys glad you have come up with an idea i see one issue.

we are running the reverse grid so we we give the back a chance to win or at least lead the final there in.

also if we were going to run the next final on the finishing positions we might as well just set the grid from qualifying.

come back to me guys with some reasons so we can discuss it more at the agm

LI-OP's?
what do people think?
i like the idea of one battery all evening (and the weight saving)but not sure how safe they are?
thought about it.....dont want them now!

i would like to put forward that we ban li-ops from the championship not stop them being used just not score points as they have got such a big advantage on weight and no drop off in power!
also if they are being used then a li-op sack MUST be used and a voltage cut off MUST be used as well. which must be checked by the race director or on road rep!

i would like to put forward that all touring car are to be run on rubber tires(any make) and ban the use of foam tires. as this will level the playing field out just a little bit more.(as foam do have a large advantage)
cheers lee

hi guys

i would like to put forward the sugestion that we have 1 person who is resonsable for the maintenance of the track markers and jumps and so on.

reason being ive been to the hall today to check the kit and found 2 broken corners and nobody managed to let me know and being that we are running friday this will of course be my fault.

i would like that part of the club delt with by 1 or possibly 2 people.

qualilifying be changed to 1 round and three finals cos i hate quilifying but love racing

also poss if software allows do qualifying on your best single lap not your best run this would allow for those that break the car 10 laps in or what ever and also makes it more like motor racing which is what we are spose to be doing if a bit smaller

I think that Li-Po's are an unfair advantage at the moment, but it is a similar situation to brushless motors (apart from the explosion issues!) in that it will probably be BRCA legal one day, but not yet!! so I would say wait until they are BRCA legal.

mmmm.....you wont be waiting long....the BRCA made them legal in pro-stock(19t) last weekend!
but as we only run 27t,there not legal in 27t as the BRCA dropped 27t from the nationals, still dont think we should use them yet! we should let the pro-stock boys do all the testing this year and look at them again next year!
